Scalloped edge sleeves and a soft, scalloped hem, this nightdress is also embroidered along the base with flower heads, leaves and dots in turquoise embroidery.
The embroidery designs are inspired by portraits showing embroidery patterns on neo-classical robes in the 1790s.
